Once again, dangerous rhetoric. 'No option'. Seriously?

Illegal migration is rising across Europe. But it’s fallen by a third in the UK. We’re not going to stop until the boats are stopped. No option is off the table.

Hunt: "Anyone choosing to coast on the hard work of taxpayers will lose their benefits." Same old, same old. Same pain and misery for those who are already struggling. Same intellectually bankrupt nonsense. We have been here before.

It is not my fault and I had nothing to do with it. She had control and influence and yet did nothing. This does not carry the ring of truth.

Today’s Supreme Court judgment is no surprise. It was predicted by a number of people close to the process. Given the current state of the law, there is no reason to criticise the judges. Instead, the government must introduce emergency legislation. 1/3

We should listen to this guy, why? Certainly not because of his past track record.

Securing our borders is a fundamental duty of government. We must stop the boats and tackle illegal migration. This is a priority for the British people. That is why we must do whatever is needed.

If anyone wonders why we need the ECHR, just listen to the rhetoric of Braverman, Anderson and even Sunak. The authoritarian Right.

After all the Eastern strangeness, my Grandfather was sent to France, like so many of Kitchener's new army. Just in time to be moved to the Somme front. This was the day job. He was a Driver. The guy on the horse. #CountyPalatine #Pals #Citizensoldier

This is the week of Remembrance. I remember my father who at 21 took his first journey to France with his mates in a 'ferry' that looked like this #citizensoldier

I’m about to meet with the supermarket bosses who have been ripping off motorists at the pump. I’ll demand they end any overcharging immediately and challenge them to hand over their pricing data. Lets see what they have to say…

This is shocking. There used to be many routes into study for those who didn’t make the cut first time - cheap FE evening classes, extra-mural university departments, low cost Open University modules. What is *wrong* with these people?

Not convinced that pink Tories are what most people looking for alternatives have in mind. Re-prioritisation can achieve meaningful results, without breaking the bank. A re-think required.

Reading through sports news. It would seem that #ForestGreenRovers are not as progressive as they would have us believe.

So the government has chosen to crack the whip with nurses. Be interesting to see how radicalising this action will be (i.e. a further ballot and a more aggressive action timetable to avoid any repeat failures). The government's own laws could yet be used against them.

So, schools functioning effectively will report all safeguarding concerns. They will not necessarily know how deep and how far these go. They will co-operate with subsequent enquiries. So why threaten staff with the kind of cheap shot political statements as those announced?
