Israel’s King Jehoram rejected God. But when his army ran out of water, he went looking for a miracle. God answered. Only because godly King Jehoshaphat was with him (2 Kings 3:14). Don’t let someone else’s walk with God carry you. You need one of your own. 👉.

In every miracle, Elisha was pointing forward. To the One who would calm storms, raise the dead, and multiply bread. The Savior who sees. The Savior who comes. His name is Jesus. Trust Him today. 👉 8/8.

Elisha tells her to borrow as many containers as she can. She starts pouring. And the oil flows. And flows. And flows. Until every jar is full. It’s enough to pay her debts and save her family. 5/8.

God’s mercy didn’t end there. In chapter 4, Elisha’s miracles shift from public to personal. A poor widow is about to lose her sons to slavery. She has nothing but a jar of oil. 4/8.

Elisha wasn’t impressed. He told Jehoram: “If it weren’t for Jehoshaphat, I wouldn’t even look at you.” (2 Kings 3:14) God sent water anyway. Not because Jehoram deserved it…but because God is merciful. 3/8.

King Jehoram of Israel rejected the Lord, just like his father Ahab. But when a military crisis hit, and water ran out in the desert…he went looking for a miracle. Not from Baal. But from the God he had ignored. 1/8.

Sometimes the truth hurts. But God’s truth is never cruel. It cuts to heal. It corrects to protect. It challenges to change us. Don’t ignore it. Receive it. And walk with Him today. 👉 8/8.

Elisha purified poisoned water. He stood strong against gangs who mocked him. He would speak boldly and act faithfully for many years. But his ministry began with this: He took the truth seriously. 7/8.

Elisha asked for a “double portion” of Elijah’s spirit. Not more power, but the firstborn’s share. He wanted to carry the mission forward. And when Elijah was taken, Elisha picked up the prophet’s cloak…and began his work. 6/8.

Meanwhile, Elijah was approaching the end of his ministry. He would not die. He would be taken to heaven by chariots of fire. But first, he tested Elisha’s loyalty. And Elisha passed with flying colors. 5/8.

The truth hurt. But Ahaziah wouldn’t listen. He tried to arrest Elijah. Fire fell from heaven, twice. But Ahaziah still refused to repent. He died, just as God had said. 4/8.

He doesn’t call a prophet. He doesn’t ask for prayer. He sends messengers to inquire of Baal-zebub (the “lord of the flies.”) God sends Elijah to intercept them: “Is there no God in Israel?” (v. 3).3/8.

Ahaziah, son of Ahab and Jezebel, ruled Israel after his father died. But like his parents, he rejected the Lord. And when his world collapsed, literally, he looked everywhere but up. 1/8.

King Ahaziah of Israel fell through his balcony and lay in bed, injured. He didn’t seek the Lord. He sent messengers to inquire of Baal-zebub—“lord of the flies.” Elijah confronted him: “Is there no God in Israel?” (2 Kings 1:3) Where do you turn when life breaks?.👉.
