Remember the 4-2 game in 1979 when 10 men won the league ? Heard your Dad/Granda talking of thay great event? With Christmas coming why not buy the book that tells the entire story in full.

Pic before bed: I give you this man - Callum McGregor, Celtic captain and midfield general. Now has distinction of holding record of appearing in 11 Hampden finals for Celtic, never losing one of them. 14 apparently if you include youth cup finals. What an outstanding record.
A middle aged man with glasses and when you see him you instantly smile. Brilliant to see Lubo turn up to see the Celts in Ostrava tonight. A real life legend.
A poignant picture from today. Craig Gordon was a fine player for Celtic and played a big part in the quadruple treble success. Still, there can only be one winner. Great sportsmanship from young Hazard.
Gutted we've let Jonny Hayes go. A one year contract would have been merited given the courage he showed in that League Cup final. One of the few players who actually showed that playing for Celtic meant something to him. Best wishes Jonny.
Whenever Mikael Lustig leaves Celtic I hope he is given the opportunity of receiving a fitting farewell from the supporters. An outstanding 8 years from him is deserving of such.
Pic before bed: Thoughts and prayers with the McGarvey family tonight with the news that Frank is seriously ill. A real Celtic hero to my generation back in the day.
@Seannyho
For what it's worth, Liel Abada will continue to get my absolute 100% support as a Celtic player. Regardless of individual politics, which we are all entitled to, ordinary people should not be branded in any way due to the actions of their state.
If not planning to go to J Forrest's testimonial then have a look at yourself. Guy has given 14 years exemplary service and gave Celtic fans memories which will last forever. Never got involved in badge kissing/loud hailer stuff then pissed off at first opportunity. Get along!
The late, great Diego Maradona pictured at Parkhead on the night the wee Celtic ball boy found the holy medal he had lost from his chain on to the pitch.
Craig Gordon. It's easy to forget what a good player he has been for Celtic. If he does move on this January then he will leave with our very best wishes.
I'm all for songs which celebrate Celtic's Irish identity and heritage but some things have to be said. In the last few games, The Beautiful Sunday rendition and the 'Orange B******s' chant are cringeworthy and embarrassing.
Best wishes to Craig Gordon from everyone at Celtic. Be sad if injury brings such an illustrious career to an end. Good luck to him on the road to recovery. A fine player for Celtic and we replaced him with the hapless Barkas.

A huge thank you to the 2200 travelling fans today for your incredible support!
From the first minute to the last, you were out in full voice to back the team 💙
Although Jota was the biggest loss last summer, this guy wasn't far behind him. Allowed to go for a paltry £4m when he had two years left on his contract. Criminal.
Celtic fans troll Rangers fans at Parkhead on the day Celtic beat Rangers 3-0 at Parkhead in 2012. Regardless of what the media tell you, this was the last ever 'Old Firm' game between those two clubs.
Doctor Jo. A very intelligent man. When Scottish journalists complained to Jock Brown about Venglos's accent, Brown told them 'Feel free to converse with him in any of the other 5 languages in which he is fluent.' May he rest in peace.
Wonder what Ronny Deila thought of the Rodgers charade. He was a man of integrity who endured a difficult period and left with the respect of the Celtic supporters.
A few observations from today.
1. Playing Forrest was strange.
2. Juranovic was appalling. Head is gone.
3. Johnston played well.
4. Their penalty was soft.
5. Goldson handball was penalty not even VAR.
6. Jota the man for equaliser.
7. If Taylor stays on Celtic would have won.
Martin O'Neill at his peak in 2000 as he arrives at Parkhead. I will not hear a bad word against him. Turned Celtic around almost overnight. Gave me the 5 best years of my Celtic supporting life. God bless him.
Remember all those times Gary Neville complained about 5 teams from England (and other big leagues) being allowed into CL group stages and how it was detrimental to small counties with a proud football heritage like Scotland/Belgium/Holland/Croatia ?
No ?
Someone ?
Anyone ?
Brilliant to see the rousing reception Frank McGarvey was given by the Celtic faithful at Parkhead today. This is a difficult time for the McGarvey family but the prayers and best wishes from all of us go with Frank. God bless him🙏
This is a difficult time for Chris Sutton. Losing a parent is a hard life experience and nothing can prepare you for it. I hope it's a comfort that his old man was rightly proud of him and his family and that the fact that his son gave enjoyment to so many people.
@chris_sutton73
If we do complete 9 in a row then I hope that this guy is brought back to join in the celebrations. By all accounts a nice man and he was never backed by the board.
Phil O'Donnell arrives at Celtic Park on a rainy day at paradise in 1994. Phil was first sign that Celtic meant business after the takeover that year. The likes of Van Hooydonk, Thom and Cadete were soon to follow. May Phil rest in peace in the month we pray for our departed.
Celtic v Rangers in 1996. Wonder if this is when Andy Goram called Pierre Van Hooydonk a 'non-white, unclean, non-Protestant with no father' and would humorously boast about this for years whist the media still feted him. A wretched individual.
Empty seats at Rugby Park was embarrassing. No problem with Celtic only getting one end if Killie can fill them. So many empty on live tv is poor show for Scots game. 8,200 today + 4,500 were Celtic fans. 9,000 empty. Which other business turns away custom and finance? Senseless.
Johnny Collins. Could have joined the Huns in 1990 when they offered him 3 times what Celtic had offered but he'd given his word to Billy McNeill to come to Celtic. Prince of a man and top class player.
Shearer once kicked an opponent in the head when he was on the ground. Then threatened to stop playing for England if he was suspended. A rat of the highest order.
"I don't even want to laugh at that because that's pathetic!"
Alan Shearer was not impressed by Ciro Immobile's theatrics 🤣

Often gets forgotten that John Collins was courted by Souness, went to Ibrox for talks, and was offered 3 times the salary Celtic had offered him, to sign for Rangers. He had already given his word to Billy McNeill and he kept it. That's what you call a real Celtic man.
I see Emilio Izaguirre is to retire from football. Best wishes for the future to Izzy from all Celtic fans. One of those players who could always be relied upon to give his all.
John Collins pictured at Old Trafford in 1990. John knocked back three times the salary from Souness at Rangers to sign for Celtic. Had he signed for them it would have been a devastating blow. He never was given enough credit for doing this in my opinion. A hero.
Pic before bed: Loving this photo of the Celtic bench at Anfield in 2003 at the moment John Hartson scored the deciding second goal. against Liverpool. Some man was Martin O'Neill.
This humble wee twitter account exists mainly to display old photos (not just of Celtic). So a happy (and a holy) Christmas to all of you in twitterland who have interacted and hopefully enjoy the pics. There are many good people out there.
And let's hope life improves in 2021.
Paul McStay aged 18 in 1982. Went right into the first team without any apprenticeship or breaking in period and never once looked out of place. Probably the most outstanding Celtic youth product in my lifetime.
Unusual minute's silence at Celtic Park today.
Ladies and gentlemen, please be upstanding for a minute's silence for Frank McGarvey, the legendary Pele, and Pope Benedict.
Happy to say there was perfect silence.
Martin O'Neill is pictured with Chris Sutton at the press conference to announce Sutton's £6m arrival from Chelsea in 2000. How young both look back then. Confession; I wasn't keen on the Sutton signing. He spent 5 years proving me wrong. An immense player for Celtic.
One of the gutsiest wee guys I ever saw in a Celtic jersey. If it's solely down to fighting spirit then he'll pull through.
Hang in there Jackie Bhoy. Say a wee prayer for you.
Pic before bed: What made Henrik Larsson special wasn't just that he was exceptional talent but that gave 7 best years of his life to Celtic aged 25 to 32. Could have signed for any club in world at his peak. That's real reason he will always be revered than other fly-by-nights.
Jonny Hayes signs for Celtic in 2017. Gave his all for the jersey and was courageous at left back against Lazio in Rome and the league cup final against Rangers. I also thought he was Aberdeen's best player on Saturday. Good luck to him.
Here's to us old guys who carried Celtic through the difficult times of 1980's and 1990's when crowds were around 15,000 mark and sometimes less. Not everyone who goes now was going then. But many of us were. You know who you are

Wim Jansen signs autographs for young fans in 1997. He was only manager for one season but you cannot gauge the impact that man made during that one term. I will always love this guy.
Since I've supported Celtic it's been a privilege to see the quality of captains we've had.

And now Callum McGregor.
Farewell to Jim McLean. A man who was held in the highest respect, a formidable opponent, and a giant personality within the Scottish game.
May you rest in peace Jim.
Jock Stein looking serious in 1971. This was around the time Man u offered him a fortune to replace Matt Busby at the time of Best, Law and Charlton. Jock showed what loyalty meant.
Passed Ibrox while back and saw two Aberdeen buses en route. Magnificent looking with 'Stand Free' at the back. Nothing short of disgraceful that Celtic still contract Park's buses and contribute to Rangers' director's business. If Aberdeen have own buses we sure as hell should.
Fergus McCann supervises the plating of the centre circle turf in the new Celtic Park in 1995 which was imported from Donegal in line with the original Celtic Park in 1888. Fergus never forgot Celtic's roots. Lirterally.
Very sorry to hear of the passing of ex Celt Davie Cattanach. There are a couple of stories regarding Davie which I would like to share which I will put up on Celtic Underground later. May he rest in eternal peace.
Carl Starfelt about to walk the plank against Ross County in 2021. The night big Ralston scored THAT winner. The scenes in houses all across the country when that went in.
A huge moment in modern Celtic times. Marc Rieper arrives from West Ham in 1997 and the sieve like Celtic defence is now shored up. Celts go on to win League and League Cup double with Rieper instrumental. Brilliant signing.
Pic before bed: Another bright light has gone out. Few players were as loved as big Yogi in his time at Celtic. My dad and his mates adored him. He made a great number of people very happy. May he rest in eternal peace. ✝ Thoughts and payers to young John and family
@yogijunior3
This is one of the main reasons why clubs outside the Old Firm cannot thrive in this league
Imagine thinking this is a penalty, thinking that this is a clear and obvious error
What a joke
Next season will be James Forrest's 15 season as a first team player. 11 league medals, 6 Scottish Cup medals and 7 League Cup medals. 100 plus goals. More than deserving of his testimonial.
Spare a thought today for Frank McGarvey's family as they gather for Frank's funeral. If you've lost a parent then you know from experience how difficult a time this is. Keep them and Frank in your thoughts and prayers.
Fergus McCann pictured taking over at Celtic in 1994. We were lucky to have him. Sorted out the finances, oversaw building of best ground in the country and laid strong foundations for future success. Hard to believe he's coming on for 82..
If you are of a certain vintage then the numbers '33' '45' and '78' will mean something to you which younger people won't be aware of.
Retweet if you know what it is 😉
I wish Fergus McCann was younger and still at the helm at Celtic. Fergus always fought Celtic's corner no matter how unpopular it made him in media. The current chancers on the board cannot hold a candle to him. He would run amok with some things in Scots football last few years.
