You don’t need cognitive impairment to explain this, b/c we are wired neurobiologically to try to protect our minds from trauma - often to the point of cognitive dissonance. Drs were/are exposed so much that it makes sense they’d subconsciously NEED to downplay the seriousness….

We have 5 days left until the day the grace period ends for late payments, when they will cut off the health insurance for the rest of the year before we could reapply. We have 1872 of 2000, so we are close. To what we need. Truly grateful for any and all help.

We’ve had family help to cover some of the bigger repairs (which we will need to pay back with proceeds from the sale), which is the only reason we could even sell the house at all. We’re so sad to give up our home, but we’re desperate & have no more options left.

Once we get this house sold we’ll be able to pay off the massive debt we have accumulated as a result of the med expenses. (Debt payments have also been killing us.) And we’re moving to another state where our premium will go down significantly. We just need to make it til then.

The costs of getting our house on the market (we’re selling our beloved home of 11 years & moving in w/ family for the foreseeable future b/c we just can’t afford to live w/ our health costs) have eaten up so much more than expected. We had a lot of issues we are required to fix.

The cutoff for the health insurance grace period is the 30th. If we don’t pay our premium by then, our health insurance will be terminated & we’ll lose access to all my doctors & meds. We are at 950 r@ised of the 2000 premium & need help closing that gap. I’m so sorry y’all.
