You won’t get very far in life if you’re embarrassed to be seen trying. What’s the worst that could happen? It flops? Ok, but did you die?

Apologising to someone does not mean they must accept it. That’s not why you apologise. You apologise because you are wrong. Being in the wrong & thinking you can dictate how someone receives your apology is absurd.

The way people talk to Black Women when they think she is unprotected is really SOMETHING.

You are not meant to train a grown person to be empathetic. If you keep having to explain why your feelings matter, the issue is not your delivery, it is their capacity. Empathy is chosen, not forced.

What's beautiful about this is I'll cry my way into good things. I'm never ashamed of my tears. Grief has done a number on me in so many ways that crying is a default shock therapy. But will I stop having a successful year? Heck, no. We can cry & win at the same time, friends.

There’s a level of audacity that younger me had that I do want to bring back. I don’t think I realise how much of a superpower it was at the time. To be able to do things without second guessing.
