I would add an underinvestment in K12 education, especially in rural and urban underserved communities. #EducationMatters
A must read! Another great article by Steven Woolf. Points to the root causes of 4 decades of poor life expectancy in the US - underinvestment in social support services; lack of affordable health care coverage for all; and in my view a severe underinvestment in primary care.

Children are dying in places meant to care and nurture them, lockdown drills are an accepted reality, and mass shootings are so common as to risk inducing numbness.

Rescuing Primary Care, Part 1. Worth reading. 'CMS seems to lack the foresight to anticipate how market forces will adapt and respond to its policies, so it is not able to foresee unintended consequences of its reimbursement and insurance practices.' https://t.co/heDgHG2XKQ
