All things considered, a really good point for Pools. Second best for large parts - and don't think the changes helped - but head back to the North East with something. Cartwright excellent again, and Charman superb after his half time introduction.

As a ground, not many I like more than Southend's Roots Hall. Proper ground, full of history and looks set to be a cracking atmosphere. Neither Pools nor Southend have conceded a goal this term; last three meetings between the two teams have been goalless.
