The bulk of these flights covered distances of less than 500 km, and could easily have been made by train 🚆 The busiest private jet route in Europe last year was Paris-London, which is connected by a 2h journey by train happening 14 times a day! There's no excuse! 2/

The UK is at the top of #privatejet flights in Europe, closely followed by France and Germany. The three most popular destinations in 2022 were Nice (Côte d’Azur), Paris, and Geneva 📍 3/

Private jets emit as much as 14 times more CO2 than a commercial ✈️ per passenger, and 50 times more than a train journey! They are the plaything of the rich, who keep flying carelessly while the rest of the world burns 🔥 4/

No plans to halt climate breakdown can be taken seriously if we can't even #BanPrivateJets 🚫 That's why people everywhere have been taking action and will keep doing so until this madness is over ✊ 5/

@StayGroundedNet @GreenpeaceEU Shocking!? Not!!! Considering how many gazillioners live in those two cities…and are pushing out regular people who no longer can afford to live there.

@StayGroundedNet @GreenpeaceEU I think we should ban heating oil also, it causes much more CO2 than private jets.
