This week we were repairing the Ralph Forster Hut on Mount Robson. Built in 1970, this is a mountaineers hut for parties climbing the peak, and a place worthy of preserving. Thanks to all, the hut will be a shelter to climbers for years to come! #BCParks #Valemount #MountRobson

A tranquil evening ramble yesterday on the southern edge of Jasper National Park. Quite a change this morning with heavy rain (and even snow up in the alpine!). The mountains are a very variable place for weather! #MyJasper #CanadianRockies

Biking to Celestine Lake yesterday was as scenic as ever, and extra pretty with kilometers of wild roses and wood lilies in bloom! Still a swampy section guarding the campground (and even a mighty moose to complete the scene). #MyJasper #CanadianRockies

On toasty days like yesterday it is nice to head up into the hills to beat the heat! We had pretty views around the Columbia Icefield (the largest icefield in the Canadian Rockies, and a very scenic part of Jasper). #MyJasper #CanadianRockies

Many willow leaves around the hills are starting to have interesting patterns on them. These are caused by leaf miners, a large class of insects that gobble up part of the leaf (and make unique patterns for those passing by).

We were out in Valemount yesterday rambling up the old Mt Terry Fox trail. Still a bit of snow to clamber over but plenty of great views to be seen! #Valemount #CanadianRockies
