Couldn’t go to Book Group tdy at Janet’s House , 6 pm knock st the door & a delivery of Scones, Strawberries, Strawberry Jam & Cream. They said the book was meh so they spent 2 hrs talking about life. I felt really lucky

48 hrs Post Op & Husband’s sense of humour returning , said to him this morning ‘wow I’ve lost 2lbs’, his reply was ‘something else you need to thank me for’ !!!

What should I do. Went to Tesco , bought 2 bath towels & 2 hand towels plus other stuff, home now , checked receipt & they didn’t charge for one of the bath towels, do I go back or ??? #Karma

Tnte we are at Bacup Court Theatre watching Country Superstars. Fantastic show but spoilt by the idiots who come to talk & make a nuisance of themselves #stoptalking #sitdown #stayawayfromthebar

Busy day. Aerobics, guys came to finish UPVC spray painting, friend arrived with arms full of bulbs,winter pansies ferns etc for planting up my tubs, another friend called for chat, delivery of jeans & blouse, now need returning, don’t fit. Occ. Health tmrw, check house before Op

She’s also in WI & asked why she’d not been invited to our 100 yr Centenary Celebrations as 2 people from her WI had 😂

In cafe 🍵 in Stornoway & couple next to us asked if I was called ‘Barbara’ said I was, said she’d gone to Dentist last week & he’d told her another of his patients was going to Stornoway following week. Got talking & we knew so many people, she lives a mile from me 🤷‍♀️ Crazy 🤪

Just been to a meeting, talking to a woman whose son is MD of a very upmarket restaurant/hotel in the Ribble Valley. She told that the owners have bought a large empty shop in Whalley & are converting to a Bakery. The villagers have wanted one for ages ✅

Moved house Covid at its highest. Needed all new windows, only colour readily available was ‘white’ & never liked them, found a reputable Co to Spray Paint the UPVC, I know a few people who’ve had it done ,everybody thought ‘new windows’ . Praying I like new colour

September 2017, rented out our bungalow for 12 mths, bought ‘Round the World Ticket, visitied both islands NZ, next SF & Coast/Coast USA, inc the Southern States. Back to UK & next 6 mths going round whole of UK. Can’t believe we did it with just 2 suitcases

Drs y/day more blood tests, Nurse said ‘here again’ said feel like Tony Hancock in the sketch of the ‘Blood Donor’ she’d never heard of it, brought up on her screen, we laughed for 5 mins, says she might show it to some of her worried patients to calm them. Perfect surgery

Cook the Book day yesterday. Cooked from Tom Kerridge BBQ Book, sun shone, one member took charge of BBQ. Food was delicious

Husband received letter saying hospital appt. cancelled on 10/9, worrying as no appt on that day, rang to clarify, answer was ‘we booked him an appt on our system for that day & then cancelled it so wrote to tell him’ wonder how much that cost & nobody cares #confused 🤷‍♀️

Neighbour left boxes of plums & apples outside saying ‘free to good home’ so tnte we had crumble

Never seen Elvis but always a massive fan, visited Graceland & saw a few lookalikes, just booked tickets to see Chris Connor in Blackpool & celebrate Elvis’s 91st birthday.

Excellent show. Roxy was played by somebody from ‘Strictly ‘ I’ve never watched the TV programme but she was amazing, the energy. Supper on way back , home now & shattered . Anybody who travels on those motorways out of Manchester on daily basis deserves a medal, heaving
