I'm not seeing how this was implied. What am I missing? It's been a long day. Maybe I'm just tired, hence my reading comprehension is low right now?
I had to withdraw from the PEN World Voices Festival. The last straw from me was the tweet below, which implies that anyone who chooses to be a part of PEN is tacitly agreeing that PEN aligns with their values and advocacy. This comes after many private messages from PEN.(Thread)

How come this discourse about whether a poet is any good never involves a prominent male poet?
This is the best piece I've read so far on the whole Mary Oliver discussion (actually, surprisingly, not a poet I knew at all apart from a single poem before the last week or two).

Trying something new with a story. I don't know whether it's really good or really bad. Very unlikely that it's in the middle. I guess I'll know once I put it away for a couple of months. Writing is weird.

The amount of homophobia surfacing in the Black community, particularly among lovers of hip-hop, surrounding the Diddy stories is staggering. Discussions of alleged abuse of power is one thing. You don't need to mix in homophobia with it.

I'm happy to share that I was accepted by two MFA programs: University of Alabama and University of Tennessee creative writing programs in poetry. Getting accepted into an MFA program means that I have the chance to further learn more about what I love to do best; writing.
