Levine and her team conducted a pilot study with high school students in San Francisco, observing how students engaged with ChatGPT in their English class. Although the team is still working on the data, Levine shared a few takeaways: 2/2.

🧵Early findings from a pilot study that found students weren't excited about ChatGPT's writing. “One team that was writing said, ‘We asked ChatGPT to edit our work, & it took out all of our jokes so we put them back,’” said Sarah Levine, an assistant professor at the GSE. 1/2.
