I’ve never seen a critic of Marx who understands that Marx himself thought his unique theoretical contribution was a *critique* of the labor theory of value. Specifically, he argued that the labor in commodities has a dual nature. You will NEVER see a critic of Marx mention this.
This. Marx’s Labor Theory of Value is a hot mess. I don’t think it’s even an economic theory technically speaking. It’s an overstated moral critique that was only superficially plausible at the dawn of the Industrial Revolution.
