BPO1 is now activated on @ethereum 🥳 With the Fusaka upgrade, Ethereum can adjust blob parameters without a hard fork. BPO upgrades gradually scale blobs to minimize network risk. With BPO1, the blob target increases from 6 → 10.

The first Blob Parameter Only (BPO) fork is live! ⬆️ Blob count per block is up 67% 🎯 New target and max are 10 and 15 blobs The BPO fork was enabled by last week’s Fusaka upgrade, allowing Ethereum to scale blob throughput without a major upgrade

Few random thoughts: - how will be the DX? Probably I should replace the original foundry to tempo one if I wanna build on tempo? - anyways it shows the power of the team that owns one of the most successful dev tools in this space. zkSync did similar tries as they are not EVM

I also hope ETH price going up, but EIP-7918 won’t burn much ETH - it’s for normalizing the blob fee market for better price discovery, not for burning ETH. Maybe in the far future, when blob target reaches like 512 (~86x from now), blob will burn meaningful ETH. But until

So what’s happening… someone vibe coded an attack on Cardano and Charles called FBI to solve it?
Cardano works so fast that we forked, fixed, and caught the guy all in one day. He was quite active in the Fake Fred discord. It was absolutely personal and now he's trying to walk it back because he knows the FBI is already involved
