Gov Hochul has signed my bills: A8417 which strengthens & extends the impactful work of the 9/11 Task Force & A5458 which will allow for survivors & heroes from that horrendous day to be eligible to obtain benefits they deserve. When New York says we’ll never forget we mean it.

When Dan McIntyre and the Broad Channel VFD said they were still short in funding for their new fire house, I knew I couldn't let another hurdle stand in their way. I was proud to present them with $1 million to finally get this firehouse built once and for all!

As we end this solemn day, I joined friends and neighbors in Howard Beach to commemorate the 24th anniversary of 9/11 with a candlelight memorial. Thank you to Frances Scarantino for hosting this wonderful memorial every year.

We will never forget the events and lives lost on 9/11. "Never forget" means we must continue the work to fight for our 9/11 first responders, survivors, and their families just like we have for the last 24 years. Love to the families, first responders, and our entire community.

My team attended a walkthrough with City & State agencies to discuss the cleanliness of the Addabbo bridge. As we knew, this is the responsibility of the City. I’m glad that the NYC DOT will be implementing more frequent cleanings, better signage, & exploring adding garbage cans
