A new staff member @StJosephMatlock is playing a vital part in Children's Mental Health Week - Arthur the school dog 🐶 He is instrumental in the school’s approach to wellbeing; he provides a calming influence and children are allowed to walk him as a reward for good behaviour ❤️

Our AMAZING Saint Joseph’s athletics team who competed at South Peak Sports this evening. We couldn’t be more proud of every single member of our team if we tried. They all gave it their absolute all and we had some fabulous race results ⭐️

Today, we learnt about the Islamic faith. We focused on elements of the Holy book, prayer, the five pillars, the month of Ramadan and the festival of Eid. Each child made a Ramadan lantern, which shows the importance of light at the end of a long time of fasting and sacrifice.

At St Joseph’s we provide additional learning opportunities and experiences through offering a wide range of extra curricular clubs. One of these includes Forest School Club where we enjoyed delicious s’mores this afternoon! 🔥🪵😋

Really, really well done to our amazing Year 6 pupils who completed their SATS and enjoyed an afternoon of celebrations 🥳 They have been so incredibly positive and have given their absolute best throughout the week and we are all so, so proud of them ❤️🤍💛

South Darley and Saint Joseph’s played in another entertaining game that ended in a 3-3 draw. The team exudes confidence, which was evident on the pitch today. We are really delighted to be developing such a fantastic team, well done Team 🤜🏻🤛🏻
