on a golf scholarship and is currently playing on the European Challenge Tour. Current Transition Year student Michael Patton and Ronan O' Donovan both finished in the top 3 of the East Leinster Junior Golf Championship last year and qualified for the All Ireland Championships.

SCHOOL SPORTS SPOTLIGHT - GOLF Golf offers our junior and senior students a unique opportunity to represent the school as part of a team in what is traditionally known as an individual sport. Each year we enter teams into the East Leinster and All - Ireland schools competitions.

St. Fintan’s HS enters teams across a number of different racket sports. We enter teams at u14, u16 and u19 level in Tennis, Squash and Badminton at Dublin, Leinster and All Ireland level. We are fortunate to have a number of dedicated teachers involved in each of these sports

had the honor of carrying the Olympic torch on its route through Dublin in preparation for the London Olympics. Former students Mark Smyth (100/200m), Sean O’Driscoll (100/200m) & Michael Farrelly (100/200m) have competed for Ireland at major championships and continue to do so.

Athletics has always been important in St.Fintan’s. Backboned by coaching provided by Paddy Noonan and Kay Bannon (Raheny Shamrocks), the school has always had a large number of students participating and succeeding in various Athletics events in cross country and track & field.
