On Thursday, Ms Hernadez visited Year 6 to lead a workshop on cooking Mexican food. This really brought our 'Hola Mexico' topic to life as we made our own salsa, guacamole and molletes (a type of open sandwich). We were given tortillas to try our dips and they were delicious!

In our RE topic, Year 1 are learning about Easter symbols. We reflected on the different symbols and designed a cross using symbols that meant something to us. Then the fun really began! We made the designs in clay, etching the symbols into them using a variety of tools.

Year 1 are learning about materials in science. Today we created an investigation about whether items float or sink. When we looked at our results we discovered that how heavy an item is, and its surface area, were really important in predicting whether it would float or sink.
