Year 6 - Class 15 - Mr Needham was very impressed with the work children in Mrs Smith’s reading group completed on Theseus and the Minotaur. Children completed questions on fact retrieval, inference, word meaning, summary and structure. 1/2

Year 6 - Class 15 were very sensible when learning about Buddhist beliefs and discussing the topic of suffering - children used their oracy skills to discuss times when suffering might have taken place. Well done Class 15.

Year 5 - Class 12 have been studying friction. The class experimented by pushing toy cars with equal force on vinyl, ribbed carpet and underlay to determine which carpet has the least friction and therefore which one is the most suitable for a nursery floor.

Year 6 - Mountain Biking Challenge. Well done to all the children who took part in the session. All the children managed to go around the BMX track and challenge themselves on the bigger jumps.

Year 4 / Year 5 / Year 6 - Ten Pin Bowling. What a fantastic event. The children were really good at helping each other and taking turns.

Year 4 - Class 11 - The children loved their first trip to Clip n Climb. They grew in confidence throughout the session and some pupils manage to get to the top of the walls. Well done.

This week, Class 16 were testing water resistance. In groups, the children made 2 different objects out of play dough - one which they thought would have more water resistance and one which they thought would have less water resistance against it. 1/2

Year 6 - Class 16 - This week, we discussed homelessness. We spoke about what is important to us, what is essential to living and what is not important. Children then gathered their ideas and we used a traverse to explain our ideas.
