⚡ Fire Prevention Week ⚡ Most of us have a drawer of chargers & cables, but not all of them are safe to use. Damaged or off-brand cables can overheat and cause a fire. Always use the charging cables that came with devices or ones made for them. Stay safe and charge smart!

Wed. Oct 1st, 1:56pm. SVFD crews are responding to a brush fire near mile post 4 of the centennial trail. A strong reminder that we are not finished with fire season quite yet. Burn restrictions are in place. Winds and still dry fuels pose a significant risk for wildfire danger.

Chilly nights are here! Stay cozy and safe! ➡️ keep space heaters at least 3 feet away from combustible materials including walls. ➡️ Plug space heaters directly into outlets, not into extension cords ➡️ Check your smoke alarms and practice your families fire escape plan.
