The dark knight trilogy did so much damage to the public’s perception of Batman to the point people actually think Batman has to be a self serious man who is brooding and dose not crack jokes .
Ok he cracks some jokes but the point is the Ga thinks Batman is just dark and gritty now and won’t accept a fantastical take in live action . I’d absolutely love silver age Batman in live action but I don’t see DC having balls to do it
@StephenChow1970
It made people not want to see him in more campy and fun stories and wear trunks and bright and colorful bat suits in live action. So now I’ll never get my ideal fantastical Batman because the GA thinks he is a brooding self serious dark gritty hero all the time
@SpiderKen1995
Batman has evolved from campy 66 Adam West into maturing into something much darker from Millers run in Dark Knight Returns, Keatons 89 Batman and Batman TAS. Everyone has their version/idea of Batman and what should or shouldn’t be done with him. Batman + jokes don’t mix well.
@SpiderKen1995
That's just cringe, actually. He is vengeance. He is The Night.
And it's not as if the Dark Knight trilogy is the only serious portrayal.
Remember "The Batman"?
Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice?
Suicide Squad?
Zach Snyder's Justice League?
@SpiderKen1995
Batman does have a sense of humor yes but I always found it to be like, a super super Dry sense of humor. Sorta Like dad jokes only he finds funny. This doesn't feel like a very "batman" joke if you ask me
@SpiderKen1995
I like Batman’s dry humor better than this camp. Batfleck was great in BvS and ZSJL, the comedy in his character was more on par with Batman Returns, or BTAS. Even comic book Bats’ humor is dry and it works perfect for when he’s paired with Flash, GL, or even Supes.
