Tumwesige's appointment follows the arrest and detention of 70 year old Joseph Kutegeka who has been the district registrar. Kutegeka was today presented before the Hoima Magistrate's court and charged with forgery and utterance of false documents. He was remanded until July 30.
UPDATE: Mr Tumwesige Francis has been appointed to work as Acting Hoima district @NRMOnline party registrar effective immediately.

Tumwesige's first test is to preside over the local council elections which are slated for tomorrow Thursday July 24 across 12 sub counties and two town councils in the district. #NRMPrimaries.
