The next big trend after American Dynamism will be biohacking and neurohacking. Underneath the surface, the upper middle class wants to do everything to get ahead, and society is harshly stratifying those who have beauty and brains from those who don't.

This is why more veterans should work in startups. "NCO mode" (i.e. giving a shit about the details) is not just tolerated here, it's actively encouraged, see "Founder Mode".
As a Marine that has successfully integrated into white collar work (somewhat) the trick is being remote and taking PTO whenever you are dangerously close to crashing out. Many things are tolerated in corporate America but acting like an NCO is a good way to get banished.
