Today, Stamford School opened its doors to teach students co-educationally at all stages. Years 12 & 13 are now based at Stamford Sixth Form at St Martin’s, with Year 11 students remaining in single-sex classes. From September 2024, Stamford School will be fully co-educational.

Before the end of the term, we celebrated our longest-serving staff members at SES with awards for 10 to 35 years of service 💐🤍 Jo Watkins, our Junior School Librarian, reached 35 years and is our longest-serving staff member. Huge congratulations to all who received awards!

Students, parents and staff gathered to celebrate female artists within the music industry last Wednesday with a fundraising concert titled 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun', planned, organised and led entirely by Stamford High School pupil Chloe Lorentzen ⭐💝

Year 5 at Stamford Junior School had an extremely competitive political election recently, ousting the Conservative Party and electing the Green Party 💚

The OE Hall held two more special guest speakers last week, Kitty Whatley, a Mezzo Soprano singer and artist who presented a masterclass to our students 🎶 And Chris Bradford, an author renowned for dynamic performances combining interactive readings and martial arts 🥋

We congratulated our 2023 Leavers for completing their exams and welcomed them into our Old Stamfordian community on Friday as they begin to take their next steps 🥂💐🥰 We send our best wishes to all of them in whichever path they choose to take 🤍

As they enter their final week at SJS, our Year 6s and their families enjoyed a fabulous prize–giving ceremony on Saturday morning 🌟 Awards were given to pupils for academic, sporting and musical achievements and for showing qualities such as integrity and curiosity!

Over the past 2 days, students from both Schools have been mixing across our sites, preparing for our transition to co-educational learning from September 2023. Transition day involved meeting new tutor groups & playing house sports, with the week finishing with a sponsored walk.

Last Friday, our Junior School pupils celebrated all things Japanese with a fun-packed themed day which every year group enjoyed. The day was filled with good vibes, music, and fun activities while learning about Japanese culture.

On Saturday, over 80 individual students took part in the annual Stamford School Music Festival. The day comprised performance classes which were adjudicated by visiting musician Lisa Nelsen. The day focused on celebrating achievement, feedback & the experience of performing.

On Friday evening, we celebrated Stamford High School's achievements with awards ranging from Latin to Biology, handmade artistic trophies being awarded for fine art pieces and many more. OS Lizzie Winfrey made a speech about her time at Stamford and handed out the awards.

Persistent Stamford Spirit cleared the summer showers from the skies yesterday as our Year 7 boys went on their annual history trip to Lincoln Castle 🏰🌳 The students explored the dungeons and prisons, Lincoln Cathedral and the Museum of Lincolnshire Life.

On Saturday, Stamford School welcomed parents, pupils and Old Stamfordians to their annual speech day celebrations. OS17 George Robinson was the guest speaker, inspiring the audience with a motivational speech noting the difference between opportunity and change.

This week, the OE Hall held two external speakers, Maddox Jones and Rob Higgs, incorporating different art forms to teach and portray a range of topics from mental health to bullying 🗨

Our Owls and Badgers kept cool in the heat at their Sports Day yesterday afternoon, as the families of Stamford Nursery School came to support and participate in the sunshine 🦉🦡🌿
