__float22bfloat162_rn() is a real CUDA function name. that's it, that's the tweet. Do with this info what you will

If you watched this and thought, "Cool, but I still need nvcc for my NVIDIA builds..." You might want to sit down for our next update. Stay tuned.

nvcc error: "Duplicate definition of variable 'x'" 🤷♂️ SCALE warning: "PTX variable declaration 'x' is not enclosed in {}" 🎯 Stop guessing why your inline PTX is breaking. We built SCALE to give you actual, actionable diagnostics. Watch the demo from #SC25 👇

Though... we like NVIDIA. We don't want to 'topple' them. We want CUDA everywhere. We believe https://t.co/hQpeCzwg2B actually benefits NVIDIA: it prevents developers from abandoning the ecosystem when the pain of lock-in starts to outweigh the cost of porting away.

He looks upon the riverbed and sees only soft earth to rest upon. He knows not that we have tricked the sand into doing math. He is free.

Forget the top 0.5% of listeners. We’re in the top 0.00001% of teams making CUDA run on... well, everything. 🏆 #Wrapped2025 #CompilerEngineering #AMD #NVIDIA #CUDA #SpotifyWrapped

NVCC's parser is funny. When closing many template arguments at once, you can introduce a redundant comma after every third one with no effect:

The lion (a compiler engineer) does not concern himself with mortal concerns (tying their shoelaces).

The industry keeps inventing new "CUDA Killers" to solve lock-in. Now you have 15 standards to maintain. We have a better idea: just use CUDA. SCALE lets you keep your existing code but run it on any hardware. No new syntax to learn. Just the last toolchain you'll ever need.

@SpectralCom I have never heard of you, but CUDA for AMD is all I needed to hear. Godspeed.
