A heartfelt thank you to the organizers for putting together such a powerful and well-run event. Bringing together delegates from over 20 countries is no small feat — and the energy, generosity, and collaboration across borders was truly something special.

It was also an honour to join a thought-provoking panel on Sustainable Financing and the circular economy in Global Surgery — an area that will only grow in importance as we strive for lasting, equitable change.

Grateful for the opportunity to share our work in Anaesthesia & Burn Care training at rural hospitals in South Africa. A privilege to reflect with others working in similar contexts, & to learn from so many who are working to improve surgical care in resource-limited settings.

South Africa introduced the vax in 2014 focusing on 9 yr old girls as part of a school health program. Will be great if MICs get a cheaper option to expand the program to more girls as well as boys

Are there any other options for qualitative software other than @NVivoSoftware and Atlas? The pricing for multi-user work is prohibitive & we would love some other options for shared coding with colleagues who not at the same place? @gabereedy @WalterEppich @willem_stassen

There is no #GlobalSurgery without #GlobalAnesthesia. In some countries, anesthesia mortality is as high as 1 in 133-1000 due to workforce & resource constraints. Surgery is not enough. #SafeSurgery is needed. https://t.co/HyANvavQJH @wfsaorg #WHA76 #GlobalSurgeryDay #GSD2023
