Elaina Hyatt is joining the District Six family from Laurens County School District 55 where she has been serving as the Special Education Coordinator. With 17 years of experience, Hyatt is excited to work with students at both Pauline-Glenn Springs and Arcadia Elementary School.

Roebuck Elementary is excited to announce Joshua Miller as a new Assistant Principal. Miller is joining the Eagles from Sugar Ridge Elementary School in Spartanburg School District Two, where he was in the role of assistant principal. This is Miller’s 14th year in education.

Katie Mauldin will be joining Roebuck Elementary School this fall as the new Special Services Administrator. Mauldin is a familiar face in District Six, previously serving as a special education teacher at Fairforest Elementary School. She has 13 years of teaching experience.

Dorman High School has selected Joshua Dawkins to serve as a new Assistant Principal. Dawkins is joining the Cavaliers from Sanders Middle School where he previously served as principal. Dawkins has been in education for 12 years.

D6 is hosting another Kindergarten Kick-Off for families who weren’t able to attend in the spring. If your child turns five on or before September 1, 2025, we invite you to drop in Monday, July 22, between 8 - 1. We hope this helps the Class of 2028 get excited about school!

This year’s Summer Reading Camp is out of this world! Our theme, is “Blast Off to Reading!” We are operating four reading camp sites & have welcomed back a select group of students to grow as readers. We are using new resources to engage & challenge students in an exciting way!
