Sadly, a member of our Mounted Unit, Winnemucca, a 19 yr old paint horse died Feb 4. Winnemucca served w/Mounted Unit 15 years at downtown events, local & State Memorials. Thank you for your service. Winnemucca will be sorely missed by all who met him.

We are devastated to hear of the passing an LVMPD Officer who killed this morning after a construction beam fell on his car. As we await further details, we thank this Officer for their service and sacrifice. We also remember his family both blood and blue in our prayers.

We are asking for your assistance in locating a lifted green Chevrolet truck with a diamond plated toolbox in the back. The driver may not know they struck the pedestrian in the accident. We are asking for the driver to come forward so we can speak to them about this incident.
