The Sound + Music SIG is extending the deadline for the 2025 Claudia Gorbman Graduate Student Writing Award to Aug 15th. This award recognizes outstanding scholarship by a grad student in sound/music media, and the winning essay is published in Music, Sound, and the Moving Image.

From Landon: I'm happy to share that Amy Skjerseth has been elected to three-year term as Co-Chair of the Sound and Music Scholarly Interest Group. She'll be beginning her service alongside Co-Chair Phoebe Macrossan and Graduate Representative Ravi Krishnaswami. Congrats, Amy!
