Sotheby’s is now auctioning off this piece of tech history. It’s not a replica. Not a display model. This Apple-1 boots up and runs, nearly 50 years later. The auction ends July 17 at 2PM ET.

Before the Apple-1, computers had switches, blinking lights, and no screens. Wozniak changed everything by integrating video display and a keyboard into the board itself. “Every computer since has had a keyboard and screen.” — Wozniak. That change started here.

Before Apple was a $3 trillion empire, it was just two guys soldering circuit boards in a garage. In 1976, they sold 50 computers to a local shop. These were the first Apple products ever made. One of those original 50 just resurfaced, and it's in perfect working condition.
