Here's the first song from the album I've been working for so long. It's still going to take some time until "IV" gets released, but I'm really happy I've reached a point where I can share something. Hope you enjoy it.

At times of instability, systemic violence, wars, it's impossible for things to get better in a peaceful way, as if the powers propagating them aren't using force in the first place. In many places right now, people are rediscovering their right to fight back, and that's great.

What do you want to know?.

Revolution and the complicated questions around it is the central theme of my latest album as Auriferous Flame. I don't have any specific answers, except that it's always a valid possible choice. And those that don't recognize that, are either part of the system or benefiting.

No government or system in history has ever been just enough to justify complete compliance. Disobedience is duty. More injustice, more resistance. When nothing changes, people correctly understand it's moral to attack those in power over millions dying in hunger, war, genocides.

If I had the time, I'd re-record 1/3 of my catalogue and do smaller re-workings of the rest. It doesn't have to do much with an anxiety to "get it right" or shame because often technical elements weren't there, more like 'wouldn't be awesome if your music grows along with you'?.

Ι've been getting an urge to continue working on albums I've already released lately and I don't understand why it's considered weird. Why not see a music piece as a living entity that's growing and transforming over the years? Why shouldn't multiple versions exist?.

The first track from "The Insurrectionists and the Caretakers" is out. It's the full version of the song I've submitted as demo in the "Riffs for Palestine" comp and I can say it's one of my fave longer (15 min) tracks I've ever done. Out 8th Nov by @truecultrecords.

It's growing difficult to me to write metal that isn't some kind of formulaic cliche, especially lyrically. There's just one way out of this and it works every time; write my truth and don't give any fuck about any expectations. It won't be metal for most, it's MY metal though.

I wrote 11 days at a period where smaller incidents of that nature where piling in and it was almost felt that a bigger catastrophe was coming. After the release I dedicated the album to the victims of Pylos.

Yesterday it was one year since the Pylos massacre, where more than 600 people died because of the death politics of the Greek state in the borders. Despite the rise of the far right, nationalism, and anti-immigrant racism some people are still resisting.

When you're finally finishing the orchestral track you've been working for so long and the only thing's left is to put the fucking GONG samples at the hardest parts 💪.
