SNOW EMERGENCY 2/8/24 Based on current weather forecasts, the City is declaring a snow emergency to go into effect at 5 p.m. on Saturday, February 8. Beginning at 5 p.m., cars will have 4 hours (until 9 p.m.) to move to the EVEN side of the street. 🧵

The East Branch of the Somerville Library (115 Broadway) will be open from 9-5 on Monday, January 20 as a warming center.

(1/2) Although the City at this time does not have plans to call a snow emergency, please note this important storm parking reminder: With snow coming, please remember not to park within 20 feet of a corner to allow snow plows & emergency vehicles to clear corners and make turns.

In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, City buildings will be closed Monday, January 20. Trash/recycling pick-up will also be on a one-day delay.

As of January 2, Christmas tree pick up is underway. Trees can be placed curbside on your regular trash day after removing all decorations. Do not put trees in a plastic bag. Constituents should contact 311 (617-666-3311) if their tree has been out for over two weeks.
