So proud of the performance yesterday. Didn’t go our way but the boys represented us so well! But it’s hard to look past the effects of us losing this game. Especially financially. Prize money for qualification is the same as our yearly budget. Would have been massive for us.

According to reports, there were around 4000 Somalis in the Abdallah Bin Khalifa stadium which hosts 10,000! First time in over 40 years the national team has had that kind of support from our own fans and our players gave them a treat. It is imperative that we carry on. 🤞🏾🇸🇴

HT: Oman 0-0 Somalia Great effort so far. Ref is letting us play physical and they don’t like it. Need to try and slow the game down and attack through set-pieces and long throws. We’re getting some joy there. Next 45mins is make or break. LFG 🇸🇴

Hay que empezar a hablar de Abdiqafar Mohamed ''Giridho'' y sus 5 asistencias y 1 gol en 4 partidos de #U17AFCONCQ. Para los que no lo conocíamos ha sido la gran sorpresa de este torneo, tiene un talento espectacular (Para mi por encima de los Abdihafiid, Diini o Anas).
El tercer gol de Abdiqafar es ridículo, este chaval da la sensación de ser el jugador con mas potencial que he visto en una U17 de Somalia si tenemos en cuenta que nunca había salido de Puntland y que lleva un torneo estratosférico, el otro día dio las 3 asistencias ante Etiopía.
