One advantage of Solestial’s Si heterojunction tech (HJT) is its lower temp coefficient. Compared to p-type diffused junction cells (PERC), Solestial degrades just -0.24% per °C, compared to -0.34%. At 80°C, our 20% cells deliver +1% absolute / +6% relative efficiency.

Solestial’s rad-hard silicon solar cells show no additional degradation compared to adjacent III-V cells after a year of continuous operation in LEO. Data from @avs_engineering shows that our modules are a cost-effective alternative to traditional II-V solar cells for space.

At just 0.3 mm thick with a mass density of 280 g/m² (340 g/m² in production today), Solestial’s ultrathin silicon solar modules hit 800+ W/kg specific power, 3-5x higher than other affordable silicon space tech. Why it matters: 🚀 lower launch costs 🚀 more power, less mass
