Stated vs revealed preferences: what people say about their preferences aren’t always born out by their actual choices. “Spiritual but not religious” is like “educated but no school” It happens but… 🤨
"Young people are replacing religion with spirituality." No, they aren't. Just 21% of young adults say that they are very spiritual. That's 8 pts lower than people born in the 1980s or 1990s.

Annette A Cummings, knew Joseph Smith personally, sat at his table, and heard him preach. This is what she had to say at the end of her life: Few are now living who knew and were familiar with the Prophet Joseph Smith. But I have sat under his teachings and felt the influence

Many of the biggest errors in creedal Christianity, both Catholic and Protestant, trace back to Augustine. This is the danger of trusting a really smart guy over a prophet. Revelation and humility are essential for a gospel writer- Augustine admitted his worldly ambitions.

At the time of Christ the concept of heaven-hell binary was one of several conceptions of the afterlife along the Jews such that the parable of Lazarus and the rich man in Hell made sense to people. You'd think something so fundamental would have been clearly revealed

Evangelicals are losing their minds over one of their top celebs @KirkCameron questioning whether hell is real He’s right to question as OT says nothing about eternal punishment Kirk says he’s open to any other perspectives on this question so I hope he’ll read D&C 19 and 76
Here is a longer video, with more context, as Kirk and his son work through different bible verses and arguments.

It’s exactly because of the rabid mob of antis chasing us that modern prophets have to tell us to be careful with what voices we listen to and what literature/ media we consume.

The Bible hasn’t stood up to history… in fact in the last 100 years more issues with the Bible being this infallible inherent book has come to crashing burn due to scholarship. You can still trust the Bible without it being inherent or infallible.
Allie: "What is the single best piece of evidence that you have found for the Bible being the inerrant and infallible word of God?" Wes: "The fact that it's stood up to history. The fact that we're still talking about Him (Jesus) 2000 years later."
