In my experience, most Muslims haven't grasped how bad Hamas actually are. I say that as someone who used to support Hamas (to anyone seeing this tweet who doesn't know me, I used to be an Islamist extremist). I genuinely believed all the bad stuff about Hamas was all lies from…
To the pro-palestine woman on the tube who gave me a dirty look when she saw my poppy / union jack badge, and elbowed me:
You hateful little bigot. If you hate Britain, it's culture, and its values so much, give up your British passport, pack your bags, and leave.
Thanks.
Under the original British plan (The Peel Commission), this is how the Israel-Palestine area would have been split up. All the green land would have been given to the Arabs.
The Arabs rejected this.
Dr Zakir Naik, the Islamic preacher who has been asked to give sermons "during the world cup" by Qatar, is an Indian fugitive who has been charged by the Indian authorities with money laundering, terror financing, and hate speech. (1/n)
How can we even begin a meaningful discussion on this when we are both working with a completely different set of 'facts'? If we can't even agree on what's true, any and all debate and discussion becomes meaningless.
I stand with every single Jewish person who has ever faced hatred or prejudice for simply existing.
This Muslim will defend your rights the whole way. No one should ever feel victimised because of their ethnicity / faith.
@StopTheBullShti
Here's something else:
The actual number of extremist Islamists is represented by a far more significant proportion of the Muslim population than anyone cares to admit.
The threat is so severe and widespread that we in the West have no idea how to even begin to contend with it.
@ReelRotation27
I rejected Islamist extremism, a belief system I had been raised with since age 6, after investigating and accepting the truth of biological evolution. This made me question my core beliefs, triggering a cascade of change. My entire worldview unravelled before me.
Often, the Muslim community can be very cognitively dissonant in the sense that they might believe in really regressive ideas, but at the same time, not entirely behave in a way that fully conforms to those beliefs.
I'll give you an example: When I was a child, I was taught not…
The real problem with the Israel-Palestine conflict is that many in the Muslim community categorically deny the right of Israel to exist, and want Israel entirely wiped off the map.
The *only* way we will achieve peace is if, before all else, this changes.
Stop and think. Does Hamas firing rockets into Israel serve any strategic purpose, either militarily or in terms of achieving freedom for the Palestinians?
It categorically does not. It's resulting in the opposite.
So ask yourselves, what is actually driving them?
Once Galloway attended my then mosque, giving a talk strongly suggesting he was Muslim. Someone naturally asked for clarification at the end.
His response implied he was secretly Muslim but couldn't be honest about it because "the shadowy elite".
He's a lying grifter. (1/2)
@justrobs2cents
@Ibrahim_S_Amin
You're right, some Muslims actually know how bad Hamas are, and still support them. For them, it's about Jew hate, but also about the idea of Islamic supremacism and colonialism and / or the jihadist goal of spreading Islam by the sword, especially for the hardcore zealots.
I'm at a
#Passover
Seder. I gave a few words on the Islamic perspective on Moses & the Israelites' escape from the pharaoh. At the end I prayed for our peoples and for lasting peace.
I received a raucous applause & loud cheers. I've been made to feel nothing but welcome.
He escaped to Malaysia in 2016 to escape the charges.
However, Malaysia also banned him from giving sermons anywhere in their country citing national security concerns just 3 years later.
Everyone should be made aware of this. (2/2)
I realised I was attracted to the same gender when I was 9.
A few months after this realisation, I learned what the punishment for people like me was in my form of Islam: death.
I was confused & terrified, and I started hating myself. I even became depressed as a child.
(1/n)
The Islamists wouldn't be calling for a ceasefire if the roles were reversed and half of Israel had evacuated.
The Islamists are hypocrites. They're literally munaafiq. They hide behind lies.
As Muslims we have three major issues:
1) The belief that everyone is out to get us (under siege mentality)
2) Widespread belief in conspiracy theories and untruthful claims (confirmation bias)
3) Being too ready to accept violence as a solution (retribution over resolution)
Islamism is a cultural threat in that it seeks to rip apart the social fabric of our nations, it is a political threat in that it causes political instability, and ultimately it is a militaristic threat given that Islamism is an expressly militaristic ideology.
@justrobs2cents
@Ibrahim_S_Amin
They tend to be scared of the extremists. Also they think bringing attention to the extremists will either make Islam look bad or increase 'islamophobia', so they don't talk about it publicly. But behind closed doors, they discuss how horrible the extremists are. It's misguided.
On the Upper East Side posters of kidnapped children have been defaced with the word “occupier.” This is unacceptable. These are innocent children who need to be brought home and returned to their families. 1/2
My grandmother passed away from a brain tumour years ago, and no one bothered to tell me because I'd been ex-communicated.
This is what extremist ideology can do to families.
I haven't been able to mourn her death and now I just feel in limbo with the news.
Back then, in my radical mind, it confirmed everything I had been raised with.
It's only now I realise what a manipulative man he is. He had the entire congregation fooled.
I will say that my dad questioned it all, but he himself wasn't sure. (2/2)
I used to be a literalist Salafi / Wahhabi. Yet, when I read the arguments for progressive

Those doubts you have about the Islam you were raised with aren't from the Shaytaan (devil), but rather from your own

Omer and Omar, two 4-year-olds killed in the fighting, one Israeli, the other Palestinian.
Children don't deserve to die. I really do hope the fighting concludes as swiftly as possible.
@The_Moiety
Interestingly, it was my mother that drove the radicalisation process in the family. When I was around 4 years of age, my family were normal. It's when I turned 6 ish that things took a rapid turn.
Had another interview at
@GBNEWS
, this time with
@Nanaakua1
. Thank you for having me on :)
It's very important that the people of this country fully understand the threat posed by islamist extremists.
Those who ally with islamists are incredibly naive.
The imams also had a role in radicalising me. Interestingly, one later deradicalised, and publicly announced he believed in Biological Evolution.
He started a blog where he'd discuss theological arguments for progressive Islam. Reading it convinced me to deradicalise. (4/4)
Geert Wilders *must* be a wake-up call for all sensible politicians and centrists everywhere: deal with people's economic woes, deal with concerns regarding immigration, deal with the threat of Islamism... or face political annihilation.
You have to be a complete monster to stab a 6 year old child 26 times. His mother is in critical condition.
The attack was connected to the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict. The incident occurred in the US.
It's not like I'm thinking for myself and attempting to learn and present my truthfully held values accurately.
No, it's because I crave the Zionists' approval and validation, and because I'm just a 'traitorous' attention seeker.
Obviously. 🙄
Did you get that Zionist approval yet? Cos I’m seeing a lot of them like your tweets ❤️ you must be so proud of yourself that this is your thought process at this time x
I've crossed paths with Anwar Al-Awlaki, who gave a lecture series at the same mosque (he later became a famed Al-Qaeda Islamic scholar and was killed by US drone strike) as I have with Galloway, both of whom had a role in my radicalisation process. (3/2+1)
Given that both the US and the EU have made clear statements confirming that Hamas do indeed use human shields, no one has any excuse left to deny that fact.
If you support Hamas, you support the deaths of thousands of Palestinian men, women, and children.
@BIackB3ard
@SpeakerOVTruuth
Sure, because the only people who truly believe in their principles are your side, right?
No one else has anything to fight for, or to believe in, because *obviously* they're wrong.
(/sarcasm)
I'm still dealing with the consequences of all of that.
I want to put an end to the suffering of gay and lesbian kids in my community.
It's about human dignity, respect, and yes, even national security at times.
It's time for change. I think I've had enough.
(5/5)
This war is catastrophic in terms of the human suffering. Don't assume that just because I lean towards Israel - I don't side with Israel entirely for a number of reasons - that somehow I consequently don't care about Palestinian suffering. I can't not empathise, even if I tried.
Important: Report online material promoting terrorism to Counter Terrorism UK. Promoting Hamas is by definition promoting terrorism in accordance with UK rules.
I'm still dealing with the consequences of all of that. It seems that despite my now rationally accepting myself for who I am, the emotional self-hatred became hardwired and crystalised in my mind.
I'm still battling that part of my old myself.
(2/n)
The clear implication being that white = evil.
It shouldn’t be difficult to condemn this. You’re either against all forms of racism, or you’re not.
PS. This is how you make the far right grow. They use stuff like this in their recruitment strategies.
To all my supporters, I love you all. Together we can change the world.
To all my detractors: to the far left, to the far right, to the Islamist extremists... I love you all too. I don't hate you.
I've been full of hate most of my life. Now I'm tired. I can't hate any longer.
Some Muslims: Harass Jewish people.
Jewish people: Go to Israel, an already population-dense country. Consequently, settlement expansions increase.
Those very same Muslims: "How could this happen??"
This person is defending defacing the posters of missing Israeli children with the word 'occupier'.
Why go after children? Did they have any choice regarding which country they'd be born in?
Even if you believe Israelis are evil, how does targeting children make any sense?
WHEN IT COMES TO 'FORMER EXTREMISTS', PROCEED WITH CAUTION...
I know I say this to my detriment, so perhaps this tweet is not wise for that reason, but I'll publish it anyway in the interests of openness and honesty...
I would caution against trusting anyone who claims to be a…
If the khilaafah, the islamic state, existed as the islamists want it to exist, you can be your life they'd have flattened all of Israel by now.
The Islamists crying tears right now would do worse than Israel if they were in power.
I promise you that. They're hypocrites.
Some people are claiming I made this up. To say I'm utterly dismayed would be an understatement. I don't why I should be having to fight for people to believe something that is not only plausible and even probable, but something that *actually* came to pass.
Anyone who has met…
@Joelybarder
@StopTheBullShti
That's a difficult question to answer, because there is no one delineating line that separates extremists from non-extremists. It all kind of blends together in a spectrum, with the most extreme on one end, and the most progressive on the other.
There is no other country whose people would be so willing to forgive a former extremist such as myself.
I work with victims of terrorism, and every single one has not only accepted me but embraced me.
The claim that Britain is 'Islamophobic' and racist is patently false. /1
@amicusets
@ReelRotation27
I listened to it as well. How one can gain such pleasure and happiness by performing such sadistic acts is beyond me.
People who think this is morally right have lost all humanity.
@Chrysschaffner
That happened over time, partly when I picked up a geography textbook that explained the conflict well, and partly when I started to reject my former beliefs.
Given that my form of Islam was pretty extreme, I became more radical in an attempt to cure myself of my sexuality.
I began to externalise my self hatred towards the rest of the world, and began considering doing the unthinkable ie. engaging in Islamist violence.
(4/n)
The whole gay thing, and the self hatred, ironically also fed into my radicalisation.
The salafi scholars, and indeed other scholars too, advised to people 'afflicted' with my 'illness' to become more religious.
(3/n)
A Jewish man I know invited me to Passover Seder, and his family are inviting people from Muslim and other backgrounds this year on account of the suffering we are all experiencing.
What a beautiful gesture.
Coexistence is not only possible... I believe it to be probable.
CLARIFICATION: In my original tweet I stated that Galloway is a lying grifter. This was in reference to his suggestion that he was Muslim at the time. I do not believe him to be Muslim at all. It's quite clear he was pandering for votes.
I made a police report to
@BTP
. At the very least, there is a record of what happened. Best case scenario: they find her. If they do, I'm willing to go all the way and testify in court. This sort of thing can't be accepted as the norm.
Oh, now they're using racial slurs against me.
They call people like myself who integrate into British society 'coconuts'. It's actually pretty hilarious: it means brown on the outside, white on the inside.
The implication being that somehow you are a traitor.
Tribalistic.
So about that Russian mob that rampaged through that Russian airport, looking for Israeli passengers... that was an attempted pogrom, no doubt about that.
I honestly didn't even think it was possible for that to happen in this day and age.
Funny that the Western 'anti-imperialists' who accuse the US and UK of 'colonialism' support a regime that is hell-bent on actual imperialist ambitions.
They have been destabilising the entire region since their inception.
There are people on the Israel side assuming that supporters of the Palestinians are necessarily supporters of Hamas.
There are people on the Palestine side assuming that supporters of the Israelis are necessarily supporters of genocide.
This only serves to polarise & divide.
I appeared on
@TalkTV
last night where I spoke on James Whale MBE Unleashed, and I thank them for bringing me on.
We talked about the existential threat of Islamism and even touched on philosophy.
The video below starts at the correct time stamp.
@MercifulMessage
You also can't disprove that invisible unicorns exist, or that a tiny undetectable flying teapot is orbiting mars.
Saying you can't disprove 'X' is never a good argument. As soon as you've resorted to that style of persuasion, you've lost the argument.
We need to up our game.
It's really quite hypocritical and bizarre that for the longest time, safe spaces were a top priority on US university campuses, and now suddenly, they're waving Hezbollah and Hamas flags and wearing masks to hide their faces.
GB News have just released my interview with
@Nanaakua1
.
We discussed Islamist extremism, the futile nature of the far left allying with islamists, and why a complete ceasefire would be a bad idea despite justified concerns over Israeli tactics.
What if I told you that it's possible to be outspoken against regressive majoritarian traditionalist Islam, but at the same time be nuanced & understanding?
What if I told you that you can be vehemently anti-Islamic extremism, but at the same time not be bigoted or hate-filled?
@AngelaRayner
I didn't think the Labour party would be one to put pure individual interest above the interests of the many.
We have a severe and serious housing shortage.
I say this as someone who stands broadly in the centre.
This is so academically flawed I understand now why stupid people shouldn’t be underestimated
Let’s analyze below through a few different sources how Islam’s conquests were particularly peaceful and welcomed by the conquered societies [THREAD🧵]
@ger_cosgrove
@SohailSNAhmed
This guy is just a simp for radical white people. People like this think they’re talking all big meaningful talk when all they’re doing is degrading the plight of the Palestinians. Kinda like Hamas in a way.
Whilst I am happy David Cameron is back in frontline politics, especially given his strong stance on Islamist extremism, I am dismayed at the way in which Suella Braverman was hounded out. I read her article in The Times twice, and what she wrote was reasonable on the whole. 1/n
@BiolaBlack
I did say 'before all else'. Clearly a lot more is going to have to change too, including settler expansionism, the theocrats in the Israeli Knesset, Hamas being in power in Gaza... I could go on.
I would advise you to actually read what you respond to next time.
@DominicFarrell
Some of the bearers were trying their best to keep their emotions in.
One of them I noticed started silently crying as they entered Westminster Abbey and the hauntingly beautiful music and hymns started.
God bless the armed forces and all those who serve this country.
The application of the “Islamic Party” to the electoral commission was dismissed because the application wasn’t done properly.
I suspect they will try again, and eventually succeed.
This will only serve to garner the public’s will against the scourge of Islamist extremism.
