If you hand hold shitty people with positive intent a lot of the time they are gonna take advantage of you. You are perfectly within your right to ignore people and setup boundaries. Don’t go poking people with sticks but the foundation of dance music was built on safe spaces.

And yet - people out here expecting you to marinate in discomfort and then act surprised when youre gone?? Like, that's your family dynamic, not mine, lol Take whatever poison you're feeling, chew it up and spit it out however you can. You're so beautiful for feeling at all.

I get and support the passion. This scene saved me and so many others. It hurts to see people tarnish the reverence we have for it. Putting the headset on and getting traumatized shouldn't be a rite of passage, but it sure feels like one.

There is no justice in this scene. The best you can do is take your beauty elsewhere. Nobody is entitled to your perception or your tolerance. Find spaces that trust you to action on your discomfort- we keep eachother safe- we curate our spaces so we can thrive.
