This Saturday and Sunday mark the opening weekend of Oktoberfest 2025, which has experienced a serious facelift this year. Stay tuned all week to learn more about what's new and to plan your visit. We'll see you on the mountain for some Bavarian-style good times.

Hans Burkhart sights the Aerial Tram tower footings with the Hellgate Cliffs rising behind him. Instrumental in constructing the Tram and 3 original ski lifts (Gad 1, Gad 2 and Wilbere), Hans laid the groundwork for Snowbird’s opening less than 2 years later. Summer 1970.

11 & 1/2 feet of champagne powder made for our 6th snowiest March on record. We celebrated surpassing 400" on the season with Olympian Bella Wright, dug out 6' of snow in 7 days to kick off Plazapalooza and Pipeline even joined the party. What more could you want?
