His films all have this sense of flow to them I really enjoy. Not to say he's a flawless writer, I have gripes with his brand of humor and his needle-drop obsession, but I just gel with something about how his films go from moment to moment so smoothly.

I'm not saying this as a fanboy or anything, but I really envy Gunn's skill for plotting. It's amazing how a movie with SO much going on can feel like it doesn't waste a single breath.

Supergirl at the end raises some questions but I guess that was the point. I don't mind them making Krypton (or at least Clark's parents) bad people. It works in the narrative, but I can see why people aren't crazy about it.

There is a LOT going on in this movie, but somehow it never felt too bloated. Even THAT reveal in the final fight worked since it felt like the exact sort of twist you'd see in a comic.
