On 23-24 Oct, we held the SMARTA-NET Final Conference in Brussels! We shared insights on sustainable rural mobility for ecotourism and crafted future recommendations. Thank you to all who joined us! #RuralMobility #SustainableTourism

Important discussion on how the European Rural Mobility Network (ERMN) could continue, and how to mobilise members after the end of SMARTA-NET. We need to keep meeting and exchange. Some activities might be supported by the @EURuralPact as pointed out by Pascale Van Doren (RPSO).

The panel on Accessibility 👆 highlighted important tools to support rural mobility, including Ute Wein (DG MOVE) on the new Social Climate Fund that also supports transport poverty and the importance of mobility data and the Sustainable Mobility Index by Helen McHenry (IE).

SMARTA-NET Day 2 in Berlaymont with important issues being discussed on rural mobility, like accessibility of services and inspiring cases from Alentejo and Kusel District, and how to integrate the rural dimension in sustainable urban mobility plans (SUMPs).
