Well, that's a wrap! Our Shakespeare @cssf_uk Production of Twelfth Night is now complete and about to be uploaded. We have been on location all round Jura. It has been an amazing journey and we cannot wait for our parents and island community to watch the wonderful final film!

we recently ran an after-school clubs consultation for our families. There were some sporty suggestions for lighter nights but our children really enjoy our "Board Games and Gaming Club" that runs from 4pm- 5pm on Thursdays, with the whole school attending. #pupilvoice #article15

our children and parents are always fabulously kind when it comes to the @BlythswoodCare shoebox appeal. They donated lots of items, with the whole school working together to fill shoeboxes for people around the world so we can bring a bit of hope this Christmas #globalcitizens

we had a wonderful afternoon preparing our outdoor environment for autumn and winter with a School Grounds Tidy (or, as we like to call it here on Jura, "Dig For Cake"). Moss cleared, leaves swept, pots weeded and bulbs planted to bloom in spring. @KSBScotland

we are hugely proud of our children for opening the Jura Music Festival on Friday night. It was the festival's 30th Anniversary and, from some beautiful singing to fearless drumming, our children showed not only their musical talent but their confidence upon the stage. @abc_OCTF

"Some are born great". Well that's (nearly) a wrap. The 8 children in P5-P7 have been out and about ALL week filming our very own production of Twelfth Night for the @cssf_uk. It has been a massive effort and the children have, quite simply, been stars of the screen. @abc_OCTF

something is afoot on The Isle of Jura this week. but what could it be? Hmmm. A clue! We've been "on location" for two days. Some are born great, some achieve greatness and some have greatness thrust upon them. @cssf_uk

Our amazing P1-P3 class have a plot at Jura's Community Polycrub. Harvesting their yummy crops from lettuce, peppers to tomato (trying some grown basil & even a tiny bit of chilli pepper) it was brilliant to grow their own salad, prepare & eat it from farm to fork.@abc_OCTF

Small Isles had a great time at the Finlaggan (The Ancient Seat of the Lord of the Isles) today, learning all about the history and heritage connected to this fascinating and important place on Islay. Big thanks to @IslayMuseum and @StAndrewsOVW for leading the day. @abc_OCTF

Thanks to @islaybookfest for putting on a workshop with the wonderful @MaisieWrites today as part of their Festival. Our children really enjoyed getting creative and hearing all about what it is like being an author. 😊 We even had time to play with our pals from @KeillsP too.

Thank you to @SmartSTEMs for organising a really fascinating event at @IslayHigh for our P6 and P7 children. With workshops from peatland preservation to microplastics, the children loved learning all about potential future careers and had a great time. @EducationScot @abc_OCTF

Our P5-P7 children had a brilliant time on Wednesday at a rugby skills session run by @GlasgowWarriors. Lots of tries were scored with lots of smiles. We think the future of rugby is in safe hands. Thank you to the players for coming to see us and for such a fun event.

another school year is nearly over. We held our special Celebration Assembly in the Jura Hall this week, where all our children were recognised for their wonderful efforts. We waved goodbye to our 3 special P7s, who have been superb ambassadors for our school. @abc_OCTF

A fabulous music recital with our music tutor, Giles, this afternoon. The children sang and drummed with gusto, rhythm and fantastic musicality. From "Hey Jude" to some solo drumming, it was a great afternoon. Talented musicians. @YouthMusicNet @abc_OCTF
