The worst thing about homesteading is when you live in the middle of nowhere, irresponsible people feel like they can drop off dogs on your doorstep. Our county has 0 resources for abandoned dog. We have two choices, to kill them, or to relocate further. I can't kill a puppy.

The pigs got out of the fence and 8 out of 11 decided to party over at the neighbors house. When I caught them they bit and kicked. Fucked up my hand real bad. There are still 2 loose. Me when I find them:

I randomly wake up every other night to a random animal my wife wanted to put in my face. tonight she wanted to show me a black rat snake that lives behind our shed.

A van keeps stopping by our property and sneakily dropping off corn. Like, they will wait till our back is turned, poor it on the ground, and peel off. I think its might be our neighbors trying to poison our birds. Anyone else deal with this?

Had a bad night. A tree fell down and broke the pig fence. Thank God none escaped or got hit. I called up the neighbors and they let me borrow their chainsaw. Its good to have friends who will help you in your time of need.
