1st Chad and Jermery and now Don Ho? A virtual plethora of forgotten pop artists. William Dozier must have really broken the bank for this episode. Just sayin’. #MeTVBatman

I guess they settled for Chad and Jeremy since the Beatles or the Stones weren’t available. Just sayin’. #MeTVBatman

Makeup artist Tom Savini suggested the jump scare ending, as he recently saw Carrie, and thought the film needed a frightening ending. #svengoolie

The “Psycho” inspired soundtrack does give this film a nice sense of menacing dread. #svengoolie

This made a box office total of $59.8 million on a budget of between $550,00 —$650,000. That was a ton of dough for 1980, and a huge return on the investment. #svengoolie

Sven is right. This is a terrific looking print of the film, and the cinematography is fantastic. #svengoolie

When Kirk says “Let’s get the hell out of here,” it was the 1st time that word was used on TV as a curse word and not a place. #MeTVStarTrek

This ending just crushes me. So brutal. #MeTVStarTrek

“Edith Keeler Must Die!” is the name of my alternative rock band. Just sayin’. #MeTVStarTrek

One thing that really makes this episode work, is that there is tremendous chemistry between Joan Collins and Shatner. Also, Edith Keller is such a strong female character; every bit the equal of Kirk, with her own agency. #MeTVStarTrek

I hope everyone that saw this for the 1st time tonight enjoyed it, as it’s one of the top five 1950s science fiction films ever; and really, one of the best of all time. #svengoolie

One thing that’s always bugged me about this movie, is that even though A bomb didn’t kill the Martians because of their force field, they surely would have succumbed to radiation poisoning. Just sayin’. #svengoolie

Notice they talked about the bomb being the latest in fusion technology? That because it was another year or so before the U. S. 1st tested the Super bomb aka the Hydrogen Bomb, using fusion technology. #svengoolie

Paul Frees as the radio announcer, and Robert Cornthwaite as Dr. Pryor, were both in The Thing (From Another World), as Dr’s Carrington and Vorhees, respectively. #svengoolie

I’ve loved this movie since I 1st saw it in 1970 or 71 when I was 8 or 9. I remember skipping catechism one day and watching at my grandma’s house. My late father, who was an Uber Catholic, was not happy and I got in big trouble. But it was worth it! #Svengoolie
