Hunt fails to realise that endless obsession with GDP as measure of successful economy is a #doomloop given trickle down doesn’t work & because growth fixation drives ecological damage & climate emissions. For real prosperity we should invest in #wellbeingeconomy #AutumnStatement

In 2019 Wildlife Trusts showed evidence of a 50% loss of insects since 1970, and 41% of the Earth's remaining five million insect species are now 'threatened with extinction'. Save our insects, ban the worst pesticides in gardens now

Many non-organic pesticides can currently be sold to anyone in the UK without any checks or training. They should be banned from sale, online and in person, to the general public.

Fossil fuel companies have spent decades lying about change - and they’re still hard at it. The lies are more subtle now - as with their support for the hydrogen economy, promoting ‘blue’ hydrogen to keep themselves alive. Please check latest blog https://t.co/cZDOnGxyJH

Please retweet if you want Labour, LibDems and Greens to cooperate at the next election in order to oust the Tories and introduce PR, so we never again have to endure a Tory Government with an eighty seat majority, secured with only 43% of the popular vote.

A reminder, should you be in need of a smile, that eggs were once called ‘cacklefarts’, penguins were known as ‘arse-feet’, umbrellas as ‘bumbershoots’, and sausages as ‘bags of mystery’ because you never quite know what’s in them.

Since the Conservatives came to power in 2010, more than 780 libraries have been closed. 10,000 library staff lost. Per capita library spending is down from £18 to £12. The book stock down from 103 million to 75 million. Dreadful.
