Did you know two containers of the same Cloud Run instance can communicate on the local network? (like http://localhost:5000). And if you give names to these containers (like `sidecar`), then you can use http://sidecar:5000? Sample repo: https://t.co/tte18E4U0n

From a 1979 IBM presentation. Itโ€™s Human in the Loop, HITL, and to do anything less would be reckless and irresponsible. AI can be an aid but is not able to replace humans.

Who is going to read thousands of new papers that marginally advance science? Who is going to read thousands of papers that represent genuine breakthroughs in narrow fields? Who will integrate the knowledge? Who is going to build on them? The answer isn't yet "AI will do it all"

$MSFT CEO Satya just made one of the most revealing comments of the entire AI cycle when he said Microsoft has $NVDA GPUs sitting in racks that cannot be turned on because there is not enough energy to feed them. The real constraint is not compute but power & data center space.

I read general news and current events only once per week (sundays, usually). If itโ€™s important enough Iโ€™ll find out in person sooner organically. At worst Iโ€™m out of touch for 7 days. I find this makes my me happier and more at peace and avoids the shock driven news cycles.
