Consultant Engineer in Wales, forced to stand and speak out against all the Net Zero crap planned for the area. He says none of it adds up or makes sense, somebody is clearly going to make a lot of money if this goes ahead

Breaking news - Unfair dismissal compensatory awards will be UNCAPPED if the UK Gov's latest amendment to the Employment Rights Bill is allowed by the House of Lords (the cap is currently £118,223 or 1 year's gross pay, whichever is lower).

The word on the street is that though the 1 year cap on the compensatory award for unfair dismissal will be lifted, the other cap will remain (currently £118,223).

So many roads in Britain are flooding on a frequent basis. But before they blame it on cow farts causing climate change, it might helpful if local councils could be arsed to regularly unblock and clean the road drains. That’s what we pay our council tax for, apparently.

Somewhat surprised to hear whispers that the Labour government has reopened the Pandora's box of Employment Tribunal fees, which was gently closed in 2017. Apparently, they're thinking of charging £55 to bring an ET claim. Employers may consider this a bit on the low side?!

Fascinating seminar from @BlackstoneChbrs on ‘The impact of AI - Are existing laws enough?’ Really enjoyed hearing from @JeremiasPrassl So much to discuss. So many issues arising from the shift from human decision making to human agency.

Well done to my lovely Josiah for completing day 1 of his RYA 1&2 Powerboating at @CBYCWales today. The instructor was brilliant. Josiah said “He didn’t shout at me or say anything negative to me at all. So nice.” He also said it was the most fun he’s had in ages.

Comedy look from Lottie! I wonder what she’s thinking?! (Either…“Why do people drop do much rubbish on the floor in Rogerstone?” or “I wonder whether he’s going to give me a treat now?”)

Enjoying watching @Bennygreb at @DrumDepot Amazing skills. Finding tones, dynamics & sounds I’d not experienced before. I’m observing a German artiste devouring the drums just as the French devour every part of the animal! Fantastique! #drums
