We want to see how Jack, Stizzy, Joreuz, and VP are feeling day in day out. Obviously the important moments before and after matches. But even the random little things aside from the competition to show they are human and have other interests and things to them.

We need way more real, and authentic content that shows BTS rather than sit down interviews for a Major or Worlds video / documentary. The more real we get, the more fans and players can become connected. This of course creates strong fan bases for the team, player, and esport.

With LA Thieves the main priority outside of the gameplay and comms is true BTS. Unscripted, real conversations and interactions amongst the players during the entire event. It gives personality, and what the players are actually going through in real time.

You’d think you’d get more insight with the Dignitas video with all of its interviews. But it’s the opposite. It’s forced questions and answers, which yes has a time and place and can be amazing. But fans want authenticity, not pre scripted material.

The shared common aspects of both videos contain gameplay and team comms. Where the two differ greatly and imo what makes one way more engaging, insightful, and entertaining is the COD one. I’ll explain why.

A large factor to why Rocket League Esports isn’t doing well aside from the obvious Epic/Blast decisions for the esport is organizational content and personalities. A huge example is this Dignitas RL video vs LA Thieves COD video. It’s not budget, it’s a vision and identity.
