In a month, I had the full arc. But it was just a blueprint. Each chapter—half a page. I showed it to friends. Then life took over. I flew off to a new job in a new country. And 00DD sat on a hard drive… for 11 years.

So I wrote something completely unhinged: A massive-breasted drag queen gets mistaken for a massive-breasted Russian assassin. It was wild. It was joyful. It saved me. For two weeks, I couldn’t stop writing. I laughed again. I felt again.

Back then, I was in a rough place. I didn’t want therapy. I wanted chaos in heels. So I turned to the inspiration of John Waters. I wanted the camp, the filth, the magic. I wanted Divine strutting through the fire and glitter.

I started writing 00DD during the darkest time in my life. I needed to create something outrageous, joyful, and loud enough to drown out the silence. A drag queen mistaken for a Russian spy. A chosen family forged in sequins and survival. And Big Mama—the heart of it all. 🧵👇
