This is the wonderful team currently excavating Kansala, last capital of the Kingdom of Kaabu, currently in Guinea-Bissau. Archaeologists from Senegal, The Gambia, Guinea-B, and Spain, working together to document this amazing site. More news on finds shortly!

Just came back from an amazing two weeks in Guinea-Bissau preparing the January excavations at Kansala, the last capital of the Kingdom of Kaabu. Thanks to @baldethierry2, @ericgmoral and Iaia Biai for making it possible, and to INEP for hosting us. Can't wait for January!
