In tonight's self-playtest of #FreeLuna, Terra had the resistance on their heels until the final round. Public Opinion dipped so low that recruiting got more expensive. A massive Peaceful Protest and plenty of media eventually inspired an uprising...

What's your advice on pitching? What has worked for you? What pitfalls are out there to avoid?

It would be best if I were going to GenCon or another convention and asking to pitch in person. But I can't go to any conventions this summer, so I'm hoping this will be enough to get a bite.

I'm selecting publishers to email by looking them up on BoardGameGeek and going to their websites. Only emailing those for whom Free Luna seems like a good fit. Some have specific instructions for submissions; I'm being sure to follow those carefully.

My emails to publishers also include a link to the two-minute video I created for the @TheBGWorkshop design contest.

So far I've emailed a pitch and sell sheet to sixteen publishers. Four rejections, eleven have yet to respond, and one has asked for a prototype.

I am pitching Free Luna to publishers. It's a co-op deckbuilder for 1-4 players in which you lead a revolution on the Moon against the authoritarian forces of Earth. The theme and mechanics are tightly woven together, and playtesters have been loving it. A🧵on pitching a game.

So what were those calls with Stone and Flynn about? Stone at least was working closely with the Oath Keepers and Proud Boys. Very likely Flynn too. But Stone we know. That's your nexus.
